Sales Policy
Please read the whole sales policy! If you contact me about a rabbit, I will assume you have read ALL of the policy and agree to it. Do NOT contact me if you have not read the whole sales policy, or do not agree to it.
Rabbits are sold on a first come first serve basis. I require a 50% non-refundable deposit to hold a rabbit up to 7 days after it is weaned. Deposits can be placed after the rabbits are born, unless otherwise stated. If after seven days the rabbit has not been picked up, the rabbit will be put back up for sale, unless arrangements with the buyer have been made. If the buyer has contacted me and is still interested in the rabbit, then a $5 boarding and feeding fee will apply every extra day the rabbit stays, unless other arrangements have been made.
Magnolia Manor Rabbitry reserves the right to cancel any sale at any time for any reason, without questions. The ONLY time I will refund the deposit fee is if I cancel the sale. If the buyer cancels the sale, or decides not to purchase the rabbit, the deposit fee will NOT be refunded.
Health of rabbit is guaranteed at time of the sale, unless otherwise stated. After time of sale, Magnolia Manor Rabbitry is not responsible for death or sickness of the rabbit, and the rabbit will not be replaced, and no refund will be given. If one of our rabbits contracts a disease, or gets sick, we do not sell any rabbits until the sickness is cleared up, and all rabbits are 100% healthy! We do this to ensure that we never sell any sick rabbit.
My rabbits are sold all over 8 weeks of age. I will not sell any rabbit under 8 weeks. Pet rabbits will always be a minimum of 8 weeks. I will, on occasion, keep a rabbit to see how it grows out, and how my rabbits genetics are. These rabbits usually become available later. I will have senior rabbits (rabbits over 6 months) on occasion. Please contact me to check my senior rabbit availability if you are interested.
Gender of the rabbit is not 100% guaranteed. I do my very best, and most all of the time I am correct, but I do make mistakes. Please check the gender before bringing the rabbit home.
I will NOT sell any of my rabbits as presents (this includes, but is not limited to: birthday gift, Christmas, Easter, and anniversaries) for any holiday, or special occasion. I also will not sell any of my rabbits to people who have not done their research on these animals, especially the breed they are wanting to purchase (in this case, Mini Rex). The reason for this policy is to ensure that the rabbits will go to a good, loving and caring home, where they get the attention they need. Rabbits are very much like dogs (although less expensive to care for) and need just as much attention and exercise.
The rabbits will also not be sold to a child as a pet, I do expect the parents to be involved in the care of the rabbit as well. Please do NOT buy live animals to teach your children responsibility, or as a toy. Many of those animals are disposed of after the child gets bored, and they end up at an animal shelter, where chances of being adopted is very slim.
After purchase of the rabbit, I will check in with you about the rabbit, by email or text, and will help with any questions you have.
Please make note, reputable breeders have first pick on which rabbit they want. We are working to develop the wonderful red variety with the Mini Rex, and the reason we sell the rabbits out as pets is we need to make room, or if the rabbit will not make the breed better. If your rabbit is reserved, with the deposit made, then it is ensured you will get that bunny.
Pricing of Rabbits
I sell rabbits as pets, brood stock and show rabbits. Please note, YOU the buyer will have to determine if there are any disqualifications on the rabbit, and evaluate the overall condition of the rabbit. There will be no refund if your rabbit is DQ'ed. I can only give you my honest opinion on the rabbit, but there are no guarantees that the rabbit will do well in a show. Velveteen Lops can be shown at ARBA shows, but cannot be Grand Champion, or win any legs. Please research this before purchasing a Velveteen Lop for show.
Prices will vary, depending on each individual rabbit, the quality, color and temperament. I do not price the rabbits as a group, and due to that, I will not know the price until after eight weeks of age, usually around 12 weeks. Prices normally start at $80 and go up from there. Once I have priced the rabbit, it is set. This means that a $75 show rabbit will be $75, whether going to a show home, or a pet home.
Any mixed rabbits I may have for sale are to pet homes ONLY
Services
I do offer stud services and I sell bred does.
Does will be brought to Magnolia Manor Rabbitry to perform the breeding. Payment will either be pick of the litter, or a fee that is agreed upon. If a fee has been the agreed payment, I will collect the fee after the breeding has taken place. If the doe hasn't taken (found not pregnant 14-34 days after breeding), the breeding can be performed again for no extra fee.
An examination will be conducted by me on the brood animal to check for any problems that may produce an unhealthy litter, or that may cause problems in any of the brood animals.
I sell bred does as priced before bred, and extra pricing will be collected after kindling (birth of the babies), or second pick of the litter. This is to make sure no one feels cheated.
I do offer breeding does as well. Again, the buck must be brought to Magnolia Manor Rabbitry, unless other arrangements have been made. The bred doe will be taken care of by me. The kits and doe will stay at Magnolia Manor until weaned. Pick of the litter or a fee agreed upon by both/all parties concerned after the kits are weaned will be the payment.
Magnolia Manor Reserves the right to cancel any sales of stud services and bred doe sales for no, or any reason at any time.
I will only offer stud services to rabbits of same breed. I only sell bred does that have been bred to a rabbit of the same breed as the doe. I will only breed my does with other rabbits of the same breed.
I do on occasion offer my rabbits for photoshoots, I will be present at the location of photoshoot to care for my animals, and I often bring along a helper. Please contact for more information.
I also offer nail trimming, gender check, and tattooing services. Please contact me for more information.
Trading
I do on occasion trade to get better/different genes in my herd, and when I need rabbit supplies. This will be updated as the needs arise. If you do have a trading offer, please contact me, as I am open to discussing possible trades.
Transport
I do transport! I only transport if I can find a transporter, and you reserve the rabbit before I start asking around.
I do require a minimum purchase of three rabbits, and transportation per rabbit is around $40. This of course varies depending on how far and which transporter you use.
The rabbits must be payed for in full BEFORE the transportation takes place.
I will not transport a rabbit under 10 weeks of age!
Once the rabbit leaves our care, we are not responsible for the rabbit's health.
I do not ship via air or mail carriers! It is too stressful on the rabbits, and not worth my time. It gets very expensive very quickly.
Return Policy
If you are unable to keep your rabbit for any reason (moving/allergies/personal/etc), I request that you return the rabbit to Magnolia Manor Rabbitry. We can ensure that your rabbit will live healthy and happy more than anyone else can. These are live animals and my babies, and I love them. No questions will be asked, and there will be no judgement. I do not want my babies to end up in a shelter, or a home where they are neglected of the love, exercise and care they need. Please keep in mind, no refund will be given, but the promise of a good, loving home will be ensured.
Returning them with their cage and other accessories is highly encouraged and appreciated, as it will help me find the rabbit a new home and is less stressful for the rabbit, me, and the new owner.
Pick Up
When coming to pick up the rabbit, please bring a box, or a carrier, as one will not be supplied. Putting hay in the carrier is encouraged, and providing a water bottle for longs trips as well. Please make sure that it is a drive you can make. *I will not drive out to meet.*
Payment
I prefer cash, but also accept Venmo (preferred) and payment through PayPal. If choosing PayPal, please select the friends and family option, as that does not add a fee. If you do not do this, the fee will be charged to you. No wire transfers or cards are accepted.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me, I'd love to help you out! This Sales Policy is not to scare off anyone! It's purpose is to weed out unserious buyers and help people understand that owning a rabbit is a huge responsibility.
If you are ready to inquire about a rabbit, email or text is the best way to reach me.
